Sphere Resources Inc. was founded in 1987. The company was formerly known as Mandorin Goldfields Inc. and changed its name to Sphere Resources Inc. in 2007.
Sphere Resources Inc. engages in the acquisition and exploration of precious and coal mineral resource properties.
The company focuses its activities on the Dome Properties in the Red Lake District, Ontario, Canada.
Significant Events: On November 30, 2009, Duncan Park Holdings Corp. announced that it has entered into a letter of intent pursuant to which it may enter into an option and joint venture arrangement with Sphere Resources Inc. with respect to the Dome property located in Ontario's Red Lake gold district. Under the terms of the letter of intent, Duncan Park would join Sphere in exploring the Dome property being optioned by Sphere from Global Minerals Limited pursuant to which Sphere may acquire an undivided 75% interest in Global's right, title and interest in the property. The Dome property is comprised of 13 unpatented mining claims (34 units), which cover approximately 500 hectares and are located about 1 kilo meter east of the Town of Red Lake and 3 km southwest of Balmertown, Ontario.
Klondike Bay Resources’ Scadding Gold-Copper Property consist of four significant showings or past producers, the Alwyn Porcupine Mine, Midas, McLaren Lake and East Red Rock showings. The claims cover rocks which contain gold-copper mineralization within the chloritic shear zones that cut albitic, hydrothermal breccias and altered lower Huronian sedimentary rocks. The presence of wide spread albite alteration within Proterozoic rift basin deposited sedimentary rocks suggests that these gold-copper deposits are likely members of the Iron-Oxide Copper-Gold (“IOCG”) group of deposits. To date, there has been no work programs focused on these claims to explore for the potential of large IOCG targets. As this area is also in close proximity to the Sudbury Igneous Complex (“SIC”), there is potential for the discovery of copper-nickel-PGM mineralization associated with “Offset Dikes”.
